NDUCN Promotes Sustainability through Tree Plantation in Sindhupalchok.

The National Disabled Unity Center Nepal (NDUCN) has planted 600 fruit and flower saplings across six public schools in Balefi, Sindhupalchok, including Satkanya School, Kupkanya School, Bal Shikshya School, Balefi School, Jalpadebi School, and Binjayal Basic School. The initiative took place on September 3, 4, and 5, 2024, with the support of the Global Green Grant Fund. A variety of seasonal and non-seasonal trees were planted, including species like Sami, Peepal, Dhupi, Salla, Mango, Avocado, Orange, Kagati, and  Kapur.

 

The program was inaugurated by Provincial Member of Parliament Mrs. Amrita Nepal, who started the planting at Satkanya School. She praised the NDUCN's efforts, expressing hope that this initiative would continue and contribute to environmental cleanliness, disaster prevention, and a sustainable future for future generations. There were participated school students, school principals, and teachers, members of the school management committees, local leaders, government representatives, social workers, NDUCN’s representatives, OPDs members and reporters.

NDUCN President Tikaram Parajuli highlighted that the saplings were planted to promote sustainable environmental protection and increase greenery in the region.
